The Program Advisory Board is an advice-giving body comprised of community leaders representing specific industry or business. Advisory Board members assist the program faculty and administration in meeting the needs of employers in a manner consistent with the college mission. Program Advisory Boards provide a valuable opportunity for information exchange and relationship building between faculty, students, alumni and employers. Program Advisory Boards review program curricula, objectives, content, and length, and assess facilities and equipment. In this context, the committees serve in an advisory capacity to the faculty and administration to ensure the program content, competencies, and outcomes meet the needs of employers. The input gained from the Advisory Board is essential to keep programs current and graduates prepared with the necessary skills and knowledge for success in the workplace.
