The Program Advisory Board is an advice-giving body comprised of community leaders representing specific industry or business. Programmatic Advisory Board members assist the program faculty and administration in meeting the needs of employers in a manner consistent with the college mission. Programmatic Advisory Boards provide a valuable opportunity for information exchange and relationship building between faculty, students, alumni and employers. Within the Advisory Board meetings, a review of program curricula, objectives, content, and length, and assessed facilities and equipment assist in preparing our students for success. In this context, the committee serves in an advisory capacity to the faculty and administration to ensure the program content, competencies, and outcomes meet the needs of employers. Programmatic Advisory Board input is essential for keeping programs current and graduates prepared with the necessary skills and knowledge for success in the workplace.
